Try http://www.mfgcatalyst.com Vey inexpensive and easy to use. Small company MRP system with shop floor functions. We use it for the shop floor portion. It was much easier to implement than our $100,000 MRP systems.

Most MRP systems stink, because they do not understand that we buy a part made by a specific manufacturer from a distributor. They let you buy a part from a distributor, but they make it difficult to specify the distributors supplier. Ta Dave F

Have you seen or heard of Fouth Shift MRP or Avante MRP? I've used both of these. In my opinion, not good for a small company, and can be expensive, REAL big $$$ to implement. 4thshift and Avante MRP systems are NOT a do it yourself kinda package. S

Use your own parts numbering system or adopt one. When you get into MRP systems etc... then this will come in handy.
