Hey MoonMan, Did I catch in one of your fabulous threads that you're using Tetra stencils? I'm anxious to find out how you're liking them. We we're all set up to go to Tetras, then mgt decided to close down our factory - Dooop!

Universal GSM and 0402/0201 Placement

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 16 16:34:01 EST 2015 | rgduval

It's a four-spindle head. I've already learned the joys of the size of the nozzles...on a job that had an 0603 cap a bit too close to an SOIC. The first panel ran, and the cap placed after the IC...and I had parts everywhere. Got it figured out an

Has anyone had experience with placing BGA on gold plated boards. I thought I read a while ago there was a problem with embrittlment causing cracked joints. If anyone has experience with this your feedback would be great. Mike Mike, You

Hi Mike, I haven't tried the 0201s with a Hyrda, but after seeing 20 reviews of your message without a response, I'll try and share my experience with 0402s on a non-Hydra machine. The 0402s are slow, but I managed to get some speed by maxing out

Dave, I confess I was a tad too general and a bit too extreme describing the way ALL solder joints look on palladium coated leads. I should been more specific about the "pillow-effect". I've seen it regularly with palladium coated leads on small SOT

Thanks for all the responses. I do agree with what was said, and can certainly see reasons not to try. I'll write a little more about what we do. We are a defense contractor, and as I mentioned very high mix, low volume. We only have 1 SMT line.

Hello, I will be evaluating and qualifying two equipment types. The first is a fountain soldering device. I need practical advice on all the stuff you guys and gals know about as good, bad, ugly, best applications, setup, limitations, an

Re: WAVE SOLDERING and Gluing 0603 packages

Electronics Forum | Sun Apr 25 12:05:50 EDT 1999 | Chrys Shea

Has anyone had trouble waving and gluing 0603 R's and C's? At my company, our designers have "opened the floodgates" on bottom-side 0603's. We've got an EPK+ with rotary chip and omega wave but can't seem to get skip-free solderin
