Baking for delam prevention

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 16 18:44:54 EST 2005 | Mike F

A good board used soon after you receive it should not delam. If only a small percentage is doing that I urge you to do some more looking at the board quality while you do the baking. Do a search of the archives on baking boards, Dave F had some good

X7R woes

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 03 17:14:37 EST 2006 | mariss

To recap: 1) The machines use laser centering, not mech jaw centering. 2) The X7Rs are scattered on the board, center and edges. Improper de-panelization would favor damaging the parts near the edges of the board; this is not the case. 3) Both ROH

SMT Assembly Line

Electronics Forum | Mon Jun 05 14:01:48 EDT 2006 | Brian

I have used, Siemens, Juki, Fuji, Universal, and Assembleon. All of them can do the job, depending on the machine mix selected. I personally prefer MPM screenprinters, after using both DEK and MPM. BTU, Vitronics, Heller, and Ellectrovert all make

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 07 03:27:31 EDT 2006 | dougs

Hi folks, thanks for all the tips. We have run our first batch of these flexi boards now. I had the PCB suppliers make me some 1.6mm FR4 carriers to lay the boards on to carry them through the process. (1 flat & 1 with cutouts for the second side)

There are several things that can be done to increase throughput on you screen printer, including the panelization of your bords as Steve & Hussman has pointed out. However that's of limited use if you have plenty of stock that is not panelized. That

Juki pick and place ?

Electronics Forum | Tue Sep 02 18:49:05 EDT 2008 | jlawson

Juki machines generally are great machines for reliablity and maintaining overall accuracy as they have full linear (mag-scales) encoders on XY axis and self calibration features. Laser centering has its pros and cons - mostly pros, but can have iss

"Base Hole Error" message from hole inspection machine

Electronics Forum | Tue Oct 05 16:38:51 EDT 2010 | tskim83

Our hole inspector gives this error message “Base Hole Error”. It is a flat conveyor-type hole inspection machine from YAYATech that scans PCBs, with an optic sensor and cameras on top of the belt and a light source on the bottom of the belt. And dur

Most PNP machines and AOI machines shuld have a X out feature. For us we use to use whiteout pens to mark the badsense spot. Now atm we use white lables, becuase there is no dry time. The lables have there own issues, They cause overpasteing issues

Is there any good articles to read on solder paste?

Electronics Forum | Mon May 27 11:13:11 EDT 2013 | ericrr

Is there any good articles to read on solder paste? (just to see if I may of missed something) Sometimes I can not believe the people I have to work with. We had a panel with two “Quad Flat Package” (QFP) one in each of the two circuits, almost fr
