I am working as part of a team to set up a new automated SMT line, with the idea being to keep it as hands off as possible. As part of this, one member of the team has purchased a used Cyberoptics Sentry 2000, which hasn't arrived yet. Since Cyberopt

hello, BGA was a little excessively reflowed with dwell time(above 183C - solder paste = 63/37) over 2 min, peak temp is 218C. I inspected the BGA under X-ray and there is a little voids but within the acceptable range, i then used the Ersascope to c

To address the last sentence of the recent posting, Austin American Technology does have experience with board cleaners as described. More recently AAT developed a cleaning system simliar to your description called the AquaBatch. The AquaBatch was

Adam, I would first check hole to lead sizes on the components that you are having hole fill issues with to see that the spacing is withing spec. Second, check for oxides on lead tips, and contaminated leads that cause poor wetting and insufficient

Does anyone have programming experience with CR Technologies RTI 6250 AOI ? They are out of business so support and parts are hard to find. I can change the default search area and the default illumination values but the changes I make are gone when

Need some feedback here. We're running a foam fluxer using WS chemistry (AIM 715M). We have been running almost exclusively .062 and a few .093" PCBs but we've recently started running some boards that are .100 and .125 thickness and are having tro

This is the profile we came up with on a 1500 to satisfy the parameters suggested by Indium. This was on an FR4 1mm thick 4 layer pcb that I would descrbe as medium density, QFP, SOP, AL-CAP, TANTS, D-PAK, MINI SPRING COIL, SOT and CHIPS were all use

Yes, components do contribute to the non wets in fine pitch reflow. Oxidation is the main culprit. May ask where it is coming from. Can not say in particular. May be burn in test process or end of line baking, hot / cold testing and need to run DOE'

ING, you had to nake it difficult didn't ya! It appears that all of your parameters are okay. When you state that "sometimes there is a residue" is it liquidous or dry? Is your spray fluxer an ultrasonic or a spray gun head? You may not be getting
