Are your pads on the board aligned correctly? I've seen this a lot lately. Pads on opposite sides are not aligned correctly. This causes the part to twist. If you have the Gerber and a way to check it, it's worth the 3 minutes to check.

Yes, they are fairly easy to use. Hardest part is alignment. But with a Mantis magnifier, they are not bad. They really do work! We apply the Stenquik and then squeegee paste on. Very simple, wish I invented it.

That also allows a channel for degassing and also breaks up paste into sections that tend to balance the forces acting on the part. So basically window paning is even better than you might think.

Have you checked the parts for contamination? Are the voids out of spec? IPC allows some voiding, especially with lead free solder. Component contamination can cause this to repeat, as well. Try pre-tinning the component in question, and see if s

I have tried to teach the part a couple of different ways. I have the component taught as a Quad Flat Pack and I am ignoring two of the sides. This has provided better results but still not consistent.
