It's hard to say. My guess is it's a cap or inductor. Have you tried measuring it? Is it me, or does this part appear to have a transparent package? It could be the flux I'm seeing.

Your target ppm in on the Juki machine a take it. So it's rejecting these parts due to the inversion? Any way to disable this. A right-side down resistor is not ideal, but it will certainly work electrically. Reese

I have seen this on a MyDATA machine and we had to slow our feed rate of the feeder down. That seemed to do the trick. We concluded the carrier tape was too large for the part, but our vendor didn't really seem to care.

Ace-Protech sells a retinning machine for Thru-hole components. I do not know if they also handle SMT parts or not. Give them a shout. 509-924-4898

I have 2 Meridian 1010's sitting in the back of my shop. I also bought used and never was able to get them working reliably. I hope you have better luck. If you need any parts keep me in mind.

Typically when this happens the lighting in your package for a part in one of those cycles has 0 0 0 in the 3 light settings. You need to check all your package types that are used in your program and makes sure they are adjusted correctly. Good Luc

I always put the step on the squeegee side. You'll get some "shadowing" effect on any parts in close proximity to the stepped up region. It should be manageable with proper board / stencil design.
