How long can you leave paste?

I have been involved with the evaluation of close to a dozen pastes from 5 manufactures. I never found one that would rest on a board for anything close to 24 hrs and still have acceptable performance. Jerry

Already figured i would do that if it came to it - still planning my approach, which will hopefully eliminate this whole 'waiting after pasting' nonsense anyway. Suggestions very welcome though, as it may well get to the test and see stage! Cheers

is not getting toe fillet, you can se like a "paste dome" on the pad so the paste is not flowing to the pin...

The biggest problem with double printing is that if the squeegee pressure and speed are correct, the stencil apertures are already filled with paste. Printing again can force paste between the bottom of the stencil and the top of the board creating

When to trash the solder paste

I would like to know, if the solder paste for SMT is unpacked (the syringe is opened) and is stocked at room temperature, then when I should trash it. After 12 hours/24 hours exposure? Or any other suggested time? Thanks.
