We currently use and have used Aim W/S 483 for the past ten years. We have had great support from AIM. Paste Characteristics, wetting, slump, washing is all outstanding. Great activity, works well with NiPd and other lead frames.

Yes, we use solder paste, solder bar and solder wire from different manufactureres for 1PCB assembly. And, what JAX said, we never mixed solder paste from different manufactures and used.

Will the flux residue from solder paste A come into contact with flux from solder paste B? If so you better do some tests. There is always a possibility of a bad reaction between 2 fluxes. You need to test to make sure. Jerry

Hi, in my experience, the humidity is trapped in the solder paste. Otherwise you can also try to : adjust preheat profile, and /or increase paste viscosity, and /or increase paste metal content (they are the most common causes).

At a previous location we used the Semco cartridges. Occasionally the operator would have to scrape down the stencil and knead the paste back in. That would keep the paste on the edges from drying out. It was just standard procedure.

If you cannot put paste down with a stencil, have exhausted all other avenues on putting paste down and the MY500 is the only machine that can put the paste where you want it... Buy it.
