best way to have pcbs leave stand alone reflow oven

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 09 10:03:05 EST 2021 | grahamcooper22

Just wondering, what do companies who have a stand alone reflow oven use to allow their pcbs to safely exit off the reflow machine conveyor belt or pcb rails ? I've seen home made ramps that the pcb slides down.....but is there any other option ?

Phoenix PCB X-RAY - VOIDING SOFTWARE

Electronics Forum | Sat Mar 13 13:34:45 EST 2021 | proy

I have an excellent operating X-Ray - Phoenix PCB analyser 160. It seems there was available software for Voiding Calculation but I am not sure if my machine has this - I do know that we have the BGA analysis tool, but have to look in and see if we

ESD Shelving

Electronics Forum | Tue May 04 18:52:31 EDT 2021 | lasmith132

3 more questions I promise. :) 1. If a populated PCB is put on a ESD safe Rack, is it able to be placed on a Plastic Shelf? 2. If a populated PCB is put in a covered ESD box, is it able to be placed on a Plastic Shelf? 3. Could we put ESD vinyl

Au Thickness in ENIG PCB

Electronics Forum | Wed May 05 05:41:02 EDT 2021 | jineshjpr

Hi All, Need your suggestions on the below queries: 1. What will happen if the Au thickness maintained @ 0.5 to 1 micron (Where Ni Thick is within 3 to 5 microns) in 0.2mm Thickness FR4 PCB. 2. Is there any solder quality affcted during Reflow Solder

Components placement with different package

Electronics Forum | Sat Jul 10 08:42:49 EDT 2021 | pradeep14

Hi all, As per PCB design have to mount SOT 6PIN, BUT Customer requested to place the SC-70 6PIN component. I know that it's very challenging for this activity. Customer is not ready to change the PCB design. So we have to mount SC-70 6PIN Component

Pogo Pins

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 08 04:10:14 EDT 2021 | leeg

Thanks Davef, we are using a mill max pogo pin on a small pcb that is panelised into a panel of 50, we have had a jig designed to get them straight instead of hand placing, there are 4 per pcb. We have followed the manufacturers guidance for stencil

Copper Foil Thickness

Electronics Forum | Sat Jan 08 06:46:33 EST 2022 | jineshjpr

Hi anyone knows what is the minimum copper foil thickness available across the industries to make PCB surface. Intention is to achieve 23 microns of finished copper thickness in a 0.3mm thickness PCB. Ideally if 3 microns plates are available, additi

PCB/PCBA deflection standard

Electronics Forum | Mon Jan 24 20:46:07 EST 2022 | emeto

Hello, we have a stiff board that goes to HLA, where some force is applied over the board to make it fit in. This force creates some deflection/bending of the PCBA and in result we see some functional failures. I wonder if there is any standard that

Component Obsolescence and Availability

Electronics Forum | Sat Mar 19 04:31:37 EDT 2022 | SMTA-69080803

What are the feasible options in mounting an alternative component onto a PCB that has a different footprint? PCB redesign is not a good option because the component is used on several other PCBs. The component is very small (8-lead SOT-23) so fabric

BGA REMOVAL WITHOUT TEMPERATURE

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 31 06:53:51 EDT 2022 | jineshjpr

Hi all, Can any one suggests that is there any method to remove BGA from a PCB without applying heat..??? Like any chemicals which can remove solder from both BGA & PCB without creating damages - Because customer feels heat application may erase the
