OK, so all GEM Machines & MG were built by Yamaha, and imported in to Europe & USA and other places by Philips. After a while Philips developed it's own machine - the FCM. Philips then sold off it's SMT division and it was rebranded Assembleon.

Hello! I dont know where you are from but here in Germany Assembleon stopped selling Yamaha machines. Yamaha now sells their machines on their own. The things I know: Yamaha YS24 is equal to Assembloen MC24 Yamaha YS24x equal to MC24x YS12 is MC12

If you have an older GEM Series machine, it was built by Yamaha. Trans-Tec America is the current distirbutor.
