Hi Mike, Frankly, no. I've not contacted the equipment manufacturers directly because I'm not sure if they'd like to support. Secondly, it'll take a hell lot of time to find the right contact within different manufacturers! Getting sample files from

X-ray is probably more useful in the grand scheme of things. SAM will, like Glenn said, pick up delams in components especially at internal interfaces. X-ray will only pick up a defect like this if it's perpendicular to the delam, very difficult.

Aegis Industrial Softwares CircuitCAM can import a gerber file, and allow you to establish a pick and place program from it. It can also take a scanned image of the actual board to do this. It's a moderately painful process; but it is doable. Circ

Thanks for the answer, RLM, I couldn't find anything in the manual that was helpful. If I use a common extent for each component type, I need to identify those components that may be turned due to the feed type (tape, vibe). Is this where I would d

OK, understood. In the case of SO14, I have some in vibe feeders and some in tape. The tape parts, when I set the extent up, would be picked at 0 Theta, because the part length is parallel to the Y axis. The vibe parts, which are perpendicular to

Hi All Currently, we encountered that the schottky barrier diode was up side down or misalignment during SMT process. And, many parts were blown away as pick up error. What we found is its package space is a little bigger for parts to move. I seek y

The algorithm only checks if all the 8 parts can be picked up by 8 heads without any mechanical interference during pickup or during rotation. In case if foresees any interference it divides them into two different charges instead of one. You can try

I have continued to try and make this work, but I've had no success. I have tried everything that everyone has suggested. It might be the component height, but I can't change that. I guess I could increase the resistor thinkness, and add some heig

The difference between FCM I and FCM II is not only the use of pusher. The vacuum calibration pads are also in different locations - in front in case of FCM I and in the rear for FCM II. Also the pick positions (coordinates) as well as location numbe

Hello guys, I hope this thread is located properly! I have few designs made in OrCAD Layout and I need to switch them to automatic assembly but I've been told that I need pick and place files for them ... hence my request for you: How can I export t
