I looked at a couple of Concraft's datasheets and the don't list the terminal finish. Any idea what the plating might be? Obviously, that can make a big difference.

We have a double sided board with Immersion Silver Plating. After reflow the Silver turns a yellowish color. It still wets good, and the yellow color will polish off with a pencil eraser. Has anyone seen this, or know the cause?

We agree with Huss. Your clearance 8 to 11 thou between lead and hole make ion difficult. And that assumes the 0.027 to 0.030" hole size is the finished, not drilled size. It just gets worse if this hole size doesn't consider plating.

Dear SMTNetters: What are some favorite techniques for getting all of the solder from a plated throughhole on a heavy ground plane area? We are using a SAC 405 alloy. Regards BWET

We have never been able to get our IP3 to place BGA's consistently. We installed new bulbs, ran glass plate calibration, played with scan speeds, scan area etc. etc.... I would not recommend this machine for BGA's
