I need to clarify something for everyone. The end customer is the Military. Our customers are military suppliers who do in fact have quality systems in place. When we build the product we end up potting the unit so the customer never looks at the ele

We use a Wave Solder Plated Through Hole (PTH) assembly process to install a TO-220 Chip Package in the PCB board that we manufacture and have experienced lower yields on a number of boards with this component due to Bridges. The bridges on the TO-22

Hi all, We run an old Seho 1135C wave solder with a 63/37 pot at 250°C. It has been running well for a couple of years but we have noticed lately that all of the larger pads (terminal blocks, transformers, etc.) require additional solder to be appli

Thanks for the replies. The single missed lead is a bit odd - we usually have an entire area missed and that's due to the board not sitting properly in the pallet fingers. I figured in this case it was likely due to poor fluxing? We have always str

What type of flux are you using today? - Obviously you have already outlined the difference in the parent materials and parent material preparation, so using the same program/profile will not work; the characteristics are different. Try increasing p

ZipaTec Select 460 I´m trying to get a misbehaving ZipaTec Select 460 to bend according to my will. There is the option to turn the nitrogen on when the pot reaches a set temperature (I believe 170°C) or when the wave turns on. I´m trying with the

In your video, it looks to me as though the bottom of the glass is too low, but, I can't tell for certain. As a general rule, keep the top of the wave no higher than the mid-point of the PCB. Top flow will take care of itself thanks to flux and cap
