What would cause this? Too much pre-heat, not enough, too much dwell, not enough? I am staying within the flux specs for preheat and can't seem to affect it much. Can board/parts contamination lead to this? I think that is a reach but I'm runnin out

I think your pre-heat temp is a little low for SAC 305 Soldering. Especially with a Pallet. You might want to try to add some time and temp to get the PWB itself preheated up to 150-160C. That should help with the barrel fill. Make sure your board

That model comes standard without bottom preheaters. Bottom preheaters are an option so I would think it is designed for general use unless you have some very thermally challenging boards. As long as you are within the process window, you'll be fine.

I would always have top and bottom preheaters in a solderwave machine. Even if you can make it work without them, it's better to heat both sides of a board then just one. Far less stress on the parts you are soldering. Plus you may need it one day fo
