We've recently purchased a Nicolet Imaging System. There are several brands on the market and some alternatives. From our research we found that you basically get what you pay for. I would plan on spending from 30k to 60k for a good quality system

Clarissa: We've all done thing on a limited basis, especially on prototype boards, but this doesn't sound like a limited basis, or prototype boards. (And may be I reading too much into this, we all know the frailities of conversing like this.) Thi

Re: Placement Equipment for 17 x 23 Backplanes?

I am a Siemens person myself but you won't get 23", you can get 20 though and I believe you could feed in a 23" board length wise. If your parts fit in a 20" area 80F4 is the way I would go. My second choice would be MYdata. They are the large board

Re: Elimination of Silk Screen

| In a cost-reduction effort, our Design group is attempting to eliminate silk-screen (legend ink) on some new products. By the elimination of this process, there will be a slight decrease in the cost of the bare board. | | Presently, the silk scre

| Does anyone have any figures on what % extra compnents should be supplied on chip components for a particular product build. Typicaly there is wastage due to dropout in loading, 1st board build and machine rejections. Is there any industry standard

| We have a product, with various PWBs, with over 600 parts each one (We are a low Volume/high mix company with an average component placement per PCB between 250 to 300 parts). This PWBs have 7 to 10, 20 mils pitch parts. We are having problems with
