Thanks for the reply. I'll try your suggestion. I tried the SEM EDX to check for traces that might cause the bridging problem but it looks normal. I haven't tried yet the material level analysis of the QFP. Thanks again.

We'd reject the lot, as an excuse to sit with our supplier and try to determine the cause of the problem.

The strange part is that this shop produced these PCBs no problem before DDI took over? I am still trying to get them to tell me what the expected yield is going forward..

Our lightning Head on the AC-30 has been down 4 times already in the 19 months we have had it. Now that we are out of warranty it is expensive to get it fixed. Is this common? Sebastian

Why was it down before? It's possible you have bad cabling. Voltage will read okay but it/they will require very little resistance to work properly (like less than 1.5 ohms).

Have you moved this LED to a different dispensing head? I have seen some dispensing heads that are out of adjustment cause the same problem. Jerry

We had this same problem several years ago. The caps and resistors were cracking when we snapped the boards apart. We now use a pizza cutter style depanelizer. A couple of manufacturers that I know of are CAB and Fancort. I hope this helps.

feels more like a bit of propaganda. Am I missing something or is leadfree totally irrelevant in the case of Toyota's problems. Surely they are still using leaded solder???
