Dhanashekar, Yes this is an important proces control tool. This will show if you printer setup is correct however, I put more importance on coverage. If your paste height is 1 mil shorter than it should be, you may need to look at your printer setup

I would need a little more information to be able to rule out some of the possible causes. Have you checked to see if the pins with the minimal solder have anything in common, do all have traces to them? or internal power or ground plane connections?

D.B., You are justified in your concern over the last requirement. I have been imposed by a customer with the same hand solder/rework requirements. It seems the biggest concern is thermally shocking ceramic chips. You are much less likely to do this
