Check also the specs / recommendations of your PCB manufacturer. We bake boards 4h/120°C before reflow and after automated cleaning (it´s not FR4!) and also if we have to rework with the autometd rework- stations (massive IR underheating ,..). Regar

Hi SMTnet. It is possible to reflow BGA's 0.65 pitch with a convection oven that only have heating zones on one side (topside) or is it a must to have heating zones on both sides in the oven (top and botton). Regards Ole C. Denmark

As an addendum to Daves posting, please consider that: There is no such thing as no residue fluxing. A no-clean must herefore, have benign residues - in other words, they are not as efficient at removing surface oxides to enable good solder joints. S
