0.4mm PCB Thickness - production issues

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 14 06:45:11 EDT 2006 | Rob

Hi Mika, We had roughly the same set up - AP27 -CP6x2, GSMx2, VIP98 & we ran the thin boards with durastone routed pallets. If you route out a 0.4mm pocket on the pallet and either use kapton tape/high temp masking tape/ or 3M spraymount to hold

I would try to panelize as big as you can for sure as you'll spend more time handling single boards than running anything. Additionally, this size is very close to smallest capabilities on GSM depending on your configuration. Fids on all boards in

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 14 05:11:29 EDT 2006 | ?

All, We are a contract manuf. for electronics. Since changeover to RoHS we still have customers due to one thing or the other telling us to run Non-RoHS. They are not exempt. What do we do ? do we tell them that we are not running their boards and

Run Fuji IP-1 at 100% speed?

Electronics Forum | Fri Sep 15 14:29:10 EDT 2006 | bvdb

Thanks "j". There is absolutely no support for Fuji in New Zealand or for the older IP-1 and MCS/2 programming computer. We got the machine working by studying the FIP-1 Operation Manual and the MCS/2 Programming manual and a lot of trial and error

Run Fuji IP-1 at 100% speed?

Electronics Forum | Fri Sep 15 15:55:27 EDT 2006 | jdengler

Bert, Hopefully the MCS still has PD's from Fuji or the previous user. The Transverse rate IP set in them should be a good guide for any new PD's you may need to make. This speed is usually set as high as possible and still get accurate placements

marking standard for .1% resistors?

Electronics Forum | Mon Sep 18 12:36:59 EDT 2006 | slthomas

A customer specs .1% thin film 0805s on one product. The parts that came in the kit were marked 1002, and I suspect they were just 1%ers that were sorted for the tighter tolerance. We were a few short, ordered the balance and got parts marked 103 w

Cleaning under LCC's

Electronics Forum | Mon Oct 02 10:22:13 EDT 2006 | SteveH

We are having issues with cleaning underneath leadless chip carriers due to their extreme low lying nature and I wondered if anyone else had any experience of this. Our process for years has been vapour degreasing with Triklone N, which works, but w

Quad 4c Nozzle Height Saga

Electronics Forum | Tue Oct 10 11:06:04 EDT 2006 | lheiss

Hi All, I wasn't sure how this would turn out until I ran some production. As I suspected, after every nozzle change the machine dumps the first 3 pickups, checks the nozzle height again (function 30?) and then begins placing with correction with n
