I'd like to know if anyone could recommend a good high-temperature adhesive that can be used for thermocouple attachment. I've always used high-temp solder and tape in the past, but would like to try using adhesive. Any info is certainly appreciated.

You have too many rules. Priority #1 melt the solder. Priority #2 worry about the other stuff. Priority #3 count the fly shit.

Do you have a different reel of parts. The leads could be oxidized from age. If everything else is soldering well, I would try that. Is your profile on your oven correct?
