We are using SN100C in both our wave and selective machines and have very good results. We also using it for ROHS hand soldering. It flows better than SAC305, the joints are shinny just like Sn63/37. We are looking into using SN100C as our paste b

Hey all, i'm hoping to get some feedback from the community on baking process versus a dry box. current process we have for rework of PCBs is to perform a 16 hour bake cycle on hardware before BGA rework is performed. however this process is ineffi

Hi Chris, We have only produced a few RoHS assemblies as of yet but we have not had one tombstone so far (knock on wood) I'm hoping that will not become a problem. We have enough of them now! Good Luck Chris

Impact is the instantaneous force at the time the component first reaches the PCB. F=M*a....so the acceleration is the key factor. If charted on a graph it would look like a spike...higher force for a short duration. The placement force is typical

I'm curious over what would happen if we continue to use the WS paste when dealing with uBGA. Definitely the cured flux under uBGA package couldn't be cleaned/reached and as I understand correctly they are corrosive. if that so, how long do you guys

Good morning Jamie. I work at a CM and can offer some input on process flexability. I do not have any data on how reliable the coating is but I can say that they are both very difficult to control. Will you be selective coating or full coating? Ho

The size of the pad changes among the two. A solder mask defined pad will always be larger than a copper defined by your mask expansion setting. This will affect paste volume, if your standard paste aperture is designed for copper defined pads you m

Can a ROHS PCB with ROHS solder paste can be cleaned in same basin/sink when Non-ROHS solder paste PCB are cleaned? Any detail procedure or cleaning technics for NON ROHS Solder Paste PCB VS ROHS Solder based PCB?

little behind are we? look in the archives from 2002-2005 when ROHS was implemented. however no real requirement here, ask your customer what they are after, most simply want a c of c stating its ROHS compliant, if your are talking REACH, that's a en

I think several of us have predicted this. Once the boys at RoHS get things rolling they have nothing to do. So, why not look into bigger and better things? I like their fancy buzz name too "REACH". I guess it's an oxymoron. Didja know large amo
