Many high rel assemblers reball their LF BGA with SnPb balls. In other less demanding environments, SnPb paste with LF BGA produces acceptable reliability.

No, you can simply replace the bad BGA with a new one. If this is a one of kind BGA and you must use it, then you need to get it reballed.

i wonder anyone here has the experience with the stencilquik,www.solder.net.they had done a few ads in the past few days I have visited their site and my feeling is their stuff is quite easy to use.Any advice for me?

Yes, they are fairly easy to use. Hardest part is alignment. But with a Mantis magnifier, they are not bad. They really do work! We apply the Stenquik and then squeegee paste on. Very simple, wish I invented it.

Make sure you check to see that they are not lead-free balling and using leaded profile. We had this and had continous problems. We had to send out our BGA to get reballed.

In our house we have had some of our BGA's reballed because it was a lead-free part and wanted to place on a leaded assembly. Hope this helps.

We have this issue as well in our house. A customer calls out a lead-free bga and wants to place on a leaded assembly. All we do is send it out and get the BGA reballed with leaded balls.

Hi, Do we need to bake the board before doing the BGA replacement (not reball process). Thanks Phong Nguyen

BGA Rework. Pls suggest whether we can place BGA without Balls on PCB after Printing. i.e without reballing if we mount BGA on PCB after Screen printing

Davef, We have BGA (removed from PCBA). We have Cleaned up the pads. Instead of reballing can we directly mount on the Prime PCB like QFN. Thanks Martin
