I use my pick-n-place data to identify feeder problems and vision algorithms that need tweaking. Over a period of time you may be able to get a feel for shrinkage. I have been using 2% for tape and reel parts and 1% for tray and belt (tube) parts.

we do a 2 person verification as well.. and record who changed and who verified.. Extra reels are setup before the run to minimize machine downtime..

Do you have a different reel of parts. The leads could be oxidized from age. If everything else is soldering well, I would try that. Is your profile on your oven correct?

There are 5 different types of SOT's from 5 seperate reels, all of the other parts reflowed fine. Will check the profile. Thanks

Polarity in tape and reel is usually always on the bottom left side. And that is correct for the trays, they have a corner taken out where the polarity goes. Hope that helps........

Has anyone completed time studies on Mydata's Agilis feeder system? Is the time to load / unload reels any faster than traditional feeders? Any comments regarding the Agilis feeders would be greatly appreciated.
