Volume that appears to be caused by wetting. Now remember most solder pastes will not "flow" across an entire pad. It will only flow where it is printed. In your pic, if the pad was covered and came out like this - it may be your pad. If it was

Greetings, I have to agree with others here. If the system is under warranty get them back in and have them fix it. I work for another oven manufacturer and we would take care of this under warranty. If it is a design defect we might fix it for free

that crossed our minds - overloading of the oven but in reality we produce 5 references with very little output difference (close to 2 sec difference) so it should be a problem since a few yeats and on all references...? no only on 2 references from

I think the oxidation on the pad happens easily but do not on Au plated pad.The reason may be caused by improper cleaning or Au plating thickness in plating process. But,before suspecting the pcb board, you need to check your process or used material

Also Rehm Thermal Systems Ovens would be worth a look... They are well made, ALL stainless tunnel , 3 phase blowers, highly realiable, and they have new entry level series called VXC Series starting at 6 zones+, but based on same tech and build as t

Dear DeanM, I have the same thoughts about quantity of solder paste. Also I think about poor wetability of some pads (walls) on modems. I'm glad that my ideas are the same like yours and other members of forum. I will try to increase pads dimensions.

I would really suggest staying away from novastar on their ovens- we had a really bad experience with two of their ovens being unable to maintain temperature properly. We ended up buying a used BTU VIP70 and it has been working out great. A Heller 18

We had a gf12 and a 1200. I'm not sure what year they were. Sold them and got an oven with some horsepower. Our Novastar 8" wave solder machine still works well and is the reason we tried their ovens, but they just did't work out well for us.
