How to solve the con. covered with flux

Right now,we have some problem on SMT. Cause of the flux residue in the connector. Do somebody have the same symptom? By the way, can i find something to make the flux observe easy or take a photo with the flux.

We intend to use VOC free fluxe in our nytro machine. Does anybody know if there can be problems with water ie. solvent residues in the tunnel. Perhaps there are some white papers available on that issue.

What are the problems related to cleaning when using OA tacky flux to replace a PBGA. Will your standard inline cleaner be able to reach all the way under to clean all residue? BGA type is 1.27mm pitch .030 dia. ball plastic. Any info helpful! Thank

Upinder, Using IPA does not cause the residue, it simply exposes it. Given that all fluxes leave reisdues, it follows that these MUST be benign - but how do you know, and how do you control it. You are using flux to remove oxides and give you a go

Why is NC the prefer process for BGA mounting? why not WS?
