Has anyone used the APE SNIPER rework station for BGA packages? I have not used it, but I have used the SRT and Conceptronics Freedom 2000 rework stations. Both are really good BGA rework stations.. Thanks

Is anyone using this and have you had any luck reworking this material? It is supposedly reworkable but we have had no success using the "advertised" rework method. Any ideas are most appreciated.

From what I can understand, you say this only happens on one type of BGA (?). Try baking this BGA. You may have out gassing during rework. Do you use tacky flux during rework? If so, try a different flux. And last, check your rework profile.

Rework is acceptable in class 3 but hardware defects shall be documented before rework and rework shall be documented.
