I've been told these machines measure an area of 1 to 2cm�, if so how would you be able to just measure the plating of let's say a regular 0805?

I was contemplaiting purchasing a hand held XRF myself but decided they wouldnt be acurate enough for us. But two manufacturers did offer to lend me the units to evaluate them. I would recommend doing this before you buy one. feel free to contact me
