Its been a long time but a CP40 will not run under XP its win 95 or win98 only and I believe it can only use the original style mother board.

Yes, all CP feeders are compatible with all CP machines.

Look on the serial number on the body of the feeder. If it starts with "W" it is a CP6 feeder. If it starts with "K" it is for the CP7. It really doesn't matter for which machine, it all depends on the bucket style feeder. If the feeder is a bucket s

CP and most other turret style machine have a fixed camera and cannot "see" the feeder.
