immersion ...easily changes color.. See that's the GREAT thing about immersion coatings. If they change color, they probably will not solder well. Try that with other coatings.

Hi Roy, Depends onmany factors. Your plants environment, the ype of paste, the size of the syringe, your smallest aperture you want to release too, type of screen printer, etc... Your best bet is to perform a DOE and see for yourself.

Is the component databases "binary text" the "universal" type of binary? Or is it some different kind of binary? I'm gonna try to load up one of the files later on, character by character, and see if I can make any sense out of it.

Actually, if I can't figure out these .DB% and .EN% files soon, I'm gonna start ripping apart UCT to see what I can find. There is no good reason for them to make something like that non-accessible.

Check all your conveyor belts and clamping in your machines. You have to follow these boards through entire process to see where it is coming from, it could be happening at a hand soldering operation as well. Russ

Hi Davef, Thanks for the reply. There seem to be no issues on SMT reflow based on some samples done. We have not stripped the gold yet. We did a X-section+EDX and we are seeing traces of copper on the nickel layer. Any idea what is the implication of

Actually, you will be soldering and wire bonding to the palladium layer, so we should have asked if you checked that layer, rather than the nickel. We not sure of the source of the copper that your see on EDX. It's possible copper from the pad migra

I would go into the system BIOS and see if everything looks good. Check out the boot sequence and make sure it recognizes the hard drive. If that is good you probably have a bad drive. It is a good idea to make a copy of your drive's in case of cr
