Feeder is brand new. (Checked cal. even though it was new) Lighting is good. Machine is in perfect cal. Nozzles are brand spankin new from Fuji. I was able to lower the reject rate considerably by playing with the offset and gain. I am placing caps

Double check on this, but we have this little voice in our heads telling us that your AgPd termination is intended for conductive adhesive applications. Check with your component supplier. We recall a thread on SMTnet [ http://www.smtnet.com/forums

I have had an inline Mirtec for around two years now and we like it overall. The false calls we see are due to the lack of consistancy of the markings on the components. This usually causes some tweeking to the library when the first piece is produ

On a Dek Horizon 03 the tact time for one panel measuring 400mm print stroke took me 16 seconds at a speed of 55mm/sec. I see no reason for reducing further tact time since loading and unloading PCBs from Pick & Place machines is relatively close.

Could be not enough peak temp. Do you have a profiler? I'd measure at the BGA joints- drill under board to get access to BGA solder joints and embed a couple of thermocouples with hi-temp solder, then run your profile to see max. temps. and that prof

I can't answer for wave, but we tried some Sn100 paste for reflow, and couldn't get it to work worth a darn. I then got some SAC305, and was relieved to see it work almost as well as SnPb at its best! Much better wetting and flowing to the various

Josh: Your 0.009" [0.228 mm] clearance should be fine. The minimum clearance should be ~0.008" [0.20 mm]. Is the 0.039" [0.99 mm] the measured or the expected hole diameter? While we wouldn't like it, we wouldn't be surprised to see 0.008" [0.20 mm

You mention moisture in the part as a cause of cracking during reflow. What does this type of crack look like? How was it determined that moisture was the culprit? The resonator is near the middle of the PCB, but is about 5mm from a large hole (abo
