Leadforming hand tool

Electronics Forum | Mon Mar 22 15:41:08 EST 2004 | jgregory

Hello All, I know this is "SMT"Net, but I have a question regarding thru-hole lead-forming. I know we, as SMT personnel, also have duties in thru-hole from time to time. I am looking for a TO metal can leadforming tool with either fixed or adjustabl

Bartector or Crestsolutions reel verification systems?

Electronics Forum | Wed Jul 27 11:36:41 EDT 2005 | Rob

Why? All major component manufacturers' reels come with barcodes already on them or if not they (& their distributors) are set up to issue them, requiring no additional work or cost to fit the process, but I don't know of anyone who ships with RFID

Cleaning of stencil

Electronics Forum | Thu Apr 22 12:54:28 EDT 2004 | Chris Lampron

Hi Indy, Loctite has a product called 7360 for cleaning uncured epoxies. We had a similar problem and then found out that the alcohol actually caused the epoxy to start setting making it impossible to clean. We now spray with 7360, wipe off with dry

BGA rework

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 08 06:17:09 EDT 2005 | Hi Steven

My suggest is using Ersa IR55A or IR650A. http://www.ersa.de/en/ If you looking for your quality, you need this system. I had try it many time, is better then hot air. and you can set the profile as you like, even Flat Peak on the Lead Free Rework.

Yeh, the IPC courtyards are for old ladies. I want to say that at one time IPC was talking about a new set of rules. Maybe, 7351 - SMT Footprint Design Guidelines??? Anyhow, Jim Blankenhorn at SMTPlus [ sales@smtplus.com ] has done THE best job o

fiducial

Electronics Forum | Thu May 13 10:14:07 EDT 2004 | Rob

I don't use the machines you have; I'm running a Siemens line. Regarding fiducials, this data should be provided by the design engineers through some kind of mechanical drawings. I usually get this with the CAD data. I don't know if there is a standa

Wave Solder: Flux Validation

Electronics Forum | Tue May 18 14:37:11 EDT 2004 | Glenn

Hey guys, I was wondering if there was a standard set of tests used to evaluate flux chemistries for wave soldering. For several years, we've been spraying Alpha 871-25A flux from Alpha Metals onto our printed circuit boards with relatively good suc

Measuring Voltage of LED

Electronics Forum | Sun May 30 22:59:29 EDT 2004 | snmsmt

I assume your talking about the forward voltage (Vf) of the LED during operation? (Probably not the correct forum for this question but anyway...) My understanding is that 'Vf' is measured during the LED's operation at a forward current ('If') of 20
