I would like to know the reason behind using soild disks and donut shapes as the most commonly used fiducial shapes in the Industry.Why not use square shape or diamond shapes fiducial and many more instead of circular shape or solid disks. Thank you

I think in the shape data on the shape process tab you click launch visual data editor.

Never used U shapes for 0603 but have used them for MELF pkg. Never had a problem printing as long as area ratio is acceptable. So just out of curiosity, why U shape for 0603? Russ
