Tape and shunts are good ideas for WS *BUT*...

Right now we are taping the goldfingers which is effective but also expensive. Also, some tape was leaving yellow marks on the goldfingers. We're trying the so-called goldfinger glove from Steven's Products. It's a very small company (probably one gu

Selecte a Shunt Resistor

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 29 09:57:48 EDT 2021 | zxcvb

I'm attempting to perform power analysis on my target, which operates at 3.3 volts. The average current while running is around 140mA without the resistor. With a 5V power source, I utilized a 10Ohm resistor as a shunt resistor. The shunt resistor w

I've read some articles like https://www.apogeeweb.net/electron/what-is-a-shunt-resistor.html, but I still have no idea.

"A shunt is an electrical device that creates a low-resistance route for a current to flow through. This allows the current to flow to a different part of the circuit." From that page. It sounds like you are using the resistor in a current limiting

Please, it does not matter the school from which it is you came, but what you learned from it that counts. It is simple mathematics my friends. Lets make things simple, shall we not? E=I/R..... this we all should know. We can use this to measure

TL431 shunt regulator

Electronics Forum | Sat May 03 13:56:12 EDT 2014 | jyo_409

We are using TL431 in our most of the power supply circuits. Recently the power supply board is returning from the field due to TL431 component problem. Could you people, please suggest me what are the possible reasons for TL431 failure & trouble sho

Conveyor belt moves opposite direction

Is it possible that the conveyor controller card has the capability to switch direction with something simple like a jumper shunt?

we don't have a jumper shunt in this conveyor. This conveyor belt running forward direction since 5 years but all of sudden change to reverse direction. Is this any software issue? Note: Both side sensors are working fine

Re: Solder masks for gold fingers/Try Rubber Shunts

| I have gold fingers that I want to mask when running over the wave without pallets. They're on the leading edge of the board. I recall seeing rubber boots that slid onto the fingers to mask them. Pop 'em on before the wave; pop' em off after and
