I forgot to update this. Customer insisted on reflowing SIM card directly to PCB, as per their previous CEM. It worked. No deformation of the SIM card - assembly works - records data to SIM card. Note that using hot air reflow type (rework station)d

Hi, Anyone has experience mounting Micro SIM card connectors? In particular I am trying to pick a connector MPN 0788000001 (Molex), but I don't know which nozzle to use. Thanks in advance!!

We use WRN (wide range nozzle) depend of head you use. H08, H02... Before pickup just make pickup offset and reduce pick up, transport speed. But, standard nozzle also could be used.

we polygon teach the part and offset the pick up to a flat piece and use a 220 nozzle on a sm 471 or 481

Hi, I use convection reflow and both top & bottom settings are the same. Is the part too heavy to rely on surface tension? there is an equation that can determine this (aswell as real test i.e. part falling off) We have some SIM Card holders on bot
