We have been running the machine for about a month after replacing the pdp power supply. We have not had a repeat of the problems since. I believe we can consider this issue resolved. Failing pdp supply was a known issue in the uic kb.

The solder looks a little grainy for Sn/Pb solder but that might just be the picture quality. There appears to be plenty of solder on the pads, so I'd rule out anything to do with the stencil. One possibility that springs to mind; how long is your

Thanks Robl. I’ve contacted samtec followed their advice but ended up empty handed. Originally my stencil thickness is 6 mils, samtec stressed the need for the paste and charge to have good contact but this is challenged by the inherent charge non-co

Phil, I had over 2k stencils VG and 5-6 frames and about 150changeovers per week. Frames get beaten up with time, hoses inside blow, aluminum tensioners change tension, start having nicks, springs inside wear as well. At some point you have to deal m

Hi Nizar, Pick and Place nozzle, pick-up speed, component symmetry if it has to be rotated while picked up are just some things I would look at. See also if the trays you pick connectors up from, are programmed correctly to the machine. You can al

Thanks guys for your help. Sorry for the pic quality, the device is so small I had to zoom a lot with my phone. The switch is a tactile one, the plastic body is missing, and what you can see in the center is where the contact is made : when the swit

We may have resolved this issue (fingers crossed) We had someone come out and they informed us that our refractometer was broken. Our measurement of 13% was actually closer to 18-20%. Since making the adjustments our solder has been running much clea

We used to have 5 of these in service and they worked great. Only 1 had the stencil wiper, and we did not utilize it. We've since installed all inline printers, but we do keep 1 MV100 on the floor as a back up. The firmware can get squirrely and the
