Is there a quick way to tell what type of CAD file a file is by the file extension? (My current software doesn't have the ability to scan through the files I have for CAD data, only gerbers and drill files).

That documentation was written 20 years ago and was meant to be a reference for the software. To use autoprogram...engineers would take a 3-5 day class. It simply was not supposed to be learned from a manual.

I thought this thread was about someone wanting a simple guide so they can train their operators on polarity for a wide range of components, not a software package for programming. I am confused, but that happens from time to time.

I am not that familiar with the older systems. The software should be supported on both old and new alike unless you are limited by the operating system, but the camera will obviously have a lower resolution and perhaps the filtering is not quite as
