we changed our top/bottom clamping system in the Printer, to a side-edge clamping system. This removed the higher paste issue similar to your thread.

Uneven thermal load in PCB design.

As a starting point, consider that these component leads may not be getting hot enough. Measure the temperature profile on the leads that do not solder well to be sure: * Heating and cooling ramps are within the paste supplier's recommendations. * C

Lead Filled Bean Bags for Thru-Hole Wave Solder Components

We had the same problem and solution with one of our components on one of our lines. Don't know for sure what the "weight" was that they used, but it did solve the problem. Since then the same line is looking a putting an adhesive on the part to ho

I would go for the laminar flow as opposed to N2. The contour nozzle doesn't really work all that well even with N2. I knew I should of asked you if you had a contour, I was thinking laminar flow hence the dynamics input. Russ

Best/Common Practice in Blank PCB QC

"Blank" means "bare board". Gray beards used this expression a lot. It has stuck in many companies, even after the old timers went to work on the BIG wave solder machine in the sky.

Best/Common Practice in Blank PCB QC

"We visually inspect and check solderability at incoming." Would you mind sharing how you are doing them? Is it really necessary to inspect visually using a microscope all or every PCB's delivered by the supplier? If not how will we check the qualit

Ok I fixed a couple of things in the search and now I get 7387 results for solder. I'm going to fix the "only searching in the forum" part next.
