We have produced good results on our ACE machines. We keep 2 of them constantly busy, one for regular solder and one for pbFree. Customer service has been good as well. Be sure to use the Nitrogen feature, and invest in a N02 generator for your sele

Have you ever heard of "Solder Mask Defined Thermal Pads"? I wrote a short blurb on this here - https://www.pcblibraries.com/forum/ipc7093a-btc-qfn-solder-mask-defined-thermal-pad_topic2154.html This technology saves fabrication costs by not havi

I would start with the following possibilities and solutions: Add extra solder to the pads with a Camalot dispenser; or preformed solder slugs placed as an additional component if there is enough extra pad to attach it without interfering with compo

It is possible to use a selective wave soldering fixture to "mask" the BGA devices from the wave. Unless you have a very thick board or one that is tough to heat, you should have no problem with BGA. Of course you should run some process experime

You may want to try raising your pre-heater if you have one. I would also suggest trying different fluxes that may be a little more active so you can use less. What type of fluxer are you using? Selective solder flux residue is a gray area. This i

Hello All, I have PCB's in a 30 up panel that have signs of improper solder mask adhesion. Per IPC 6012 they specify a maximum of 5 Percent allowed to have problems adhering to base laminate per class 2. I am trying to figure out if this 5% is for th
