wats the thickness of your board.. and the dimension.. I would not heat the board beyond 150deg C.. coz if the board is thick and large.. it will take a long time to reach that temp..and you will burn off your flux.causing poor solder joint. Ind

not keen on pressing myself lot of stress can lead to delam and cracked solder joints, I prefair CNC router, lot of dust but if its extracted well its very good and stress free in more ways than one

Could anyone tell me what the results would be if I used Lead Free parts with Lead Paste? Will there be solder joint issues? This is kind of new to me to start implementing the lead free process. Thanks for any comments.

The RoHS legislation says that it possible to have an exception from lead. That means that You are allowed to have Pb in the solder joint! While the component and the pcb must be RoHS compliant! Isn't that fun?

Dear friend, at any cost donot consider ESv-304 m/c. m/c is totally fail to detect solder joints. Software part is aloso not strong.From which country you are & who is supporting to you.

who rejected it? , sounds like an average leadfree solder joint. you could section it to help prove its good.

Thanks Steve. I do know that my vacuum and height/pressure are as they should be. You make a good point about the saturation of the paper. I will certainly check that.
