It's six in the morning here! Give me a bell the next time you are out here and I'll take you fishing on the sensational Sydney Harbour. However I will not be getting out of the boat and "diving" - too many noahs arks. I'll leave that to the daredevi

wrinkles solder joints after double reflow

Hi! What exatly you do? Do you reflow the both sides of the board at the same time or you reflow your second side? I think in both cases you should decrease you bottom zones. If you reflow both sides - with 10-20C(F) If you reflow the second side - w

Bubbles on solder joint(after conformal coating curing)

Hi Davef, The bubbles occurs at the body also...there's also a washing process before the conformal coating:-the Flux residue are removed after washing. ... The curing profile is also something that we are looking into during the initial troubles

Hi sforman1, The chemical that i'm using is a solvent based coating humiseal 1B73. From my understanding, the UV curing is mainly for UV curable coating like the UV40. And the main advantage of using UV curing is for fast throughput and environment

UV40 for you info was developed in Humiseal EU and has been tested heavily against Dymax product. UV40 is a great product has many approvals from major auto and whitegoods makers.... I have seen comparisons UV40 to Dymax 984LV and Dymax comes out se

Does pot temperature affects quality of the solder joints?

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 02 08:54:43 EST 2017 | emeto

Hello all, I was just wondering if solder pot temperature affects the quality or the life of the solder joints? For example we run 100Sn at 275C. If I bump it up to 300C, what is that going to change?

Testing effect of non-clean flux residue on solder joints

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 21 12:52:56 EDT 2017 | emeto

No clean is giving us problem in ICT. Other than that, a coating of flux should remain there to pretect the solder joint from the environment. In general you should not clean NO clean - it is supposed to be there.

Convection Oven and thermo profiling of Circuit Boards
