Dear Masdi, Solder beading (as opposed to solder balls) is usually caused by volume of solder paste, displacement of solder paste when component is placed and sometimes the proximity of the solder depositions for that component. Basically, a small a

Is your solder paste deposit drying out? Or if the paste deposit is small or there is insufficient paste then the tack between the device and paste will be poor so it can easily come out of the paste during its placement or placement of other parts.

I've had a lot of experience with solder spatter. It's usually related to moisture (humidity) uptake by the paste, or outgassing from plating: particularly Au/Ni. Solder spatter from the plating will change from board-vendor to board-vendor. I shoul

I've had alot of success with the solder pastes from ESP in Rhode Island. They have great shelf life and are easy to print | I'm currently planning to do an evaluation of RMA flux solder pastes for mil type applications. Does anyone have any suggest

Slaine, We use a Pd/Ag thickfilm paste. Because of the leaching we had to start using solder pastes that have silver in it. For RoHS, we are using a solder paste with an alloy of Sn95/Ag05. We also have to double print the thickfilm pastes. I h

Pad spacing is just one element to consider. Your pad spacing is determined by the pitch (center to center distance between the leads). There are several good resources to find the appropriate pitch per device. Search the archives here or refer to th

We never changed any thing after moving to imm silver. "Poor release" (paste hanging-up in the stencil holes) could have three main (or combination of) causes: 1 Equipment * Proper aperture area ratio provide better release * Laser cut release bette

Dear all. We SMT line based on unversal machine and we are using DEK machine for printing with the two processes ( solder paste and glue ). I have seen that we waste time in Glue process using DEK machine because the machines are very quick than the
