I do need to agree with you. There are definetly clones out there. Som look identical on the outside. And there could be serious concerns about support. One bad hard drive can turn a machine into scrap if you can not get s/w or support. People n

Yes, you can use lead-free parts in a leaded process. And the other is true as well, no-lead free parts in a leaded process. BUT, you should not use leaded parts through a non-lead wave solder process and of course, your board will not be RoSH.

Try lifting the part with a small piece of paper. I've seen caps that did this and giving the flux a way to vent out the top side of the board got rid of the blow holes. It'll take ya 2 seconds to to try - that plus the 3 minutes to wave solder.
