I had worked with one some time ago. The preheat was not powerfull enough and we had a difficult time with the tope side flow. Good Luck

Right, brilliant thread! I concur the Novastar preheater is junk and the pot drosses much more than our Electroverts. Save your dough and buy a used machine first.

yes you can use lead-free components and/or lead-free solder paste on Sn/Pb PCBs. You do get reliable joints. as already mentioned, it doesn't meet the WEEE and RoHS requirement. Indy

Following are my queries : 1. How actually the process of electrofoam Stencil preparation? 2. How N2 Helps for Leadfree soldering ? 3. Does Ultrasonic Cleaning process affects the internal bonding of IC ?

Bag it. Static Intercept and Corrosion Intercept packaging will be able stave off atmospheric corrosion and protect your solderability for a long time. Write me at dasalintercept@hotmail.com for more technical information.

HI, I actually have ask the same question a while back. Yes, using lead free component in a leaded process should be no problem at all. May required just a little hotter peak temp. during reflow, to achive optimal solderability.

Could you advise what is the min and max peak temperature for this process. Presently, my leaded peak temperature at the range of 215 - 225 deg.C And how do I know that the solderability is at optimal. Appreciate your help......

Hi Friends, I had a PCB with polymide material with nickle tin plating on it. I had real hard time to do hand solder. I am asking help if any one have any experience with polymide material.
