You're right, it sounds too good to be true. You would expect a man in a horsedrawn carriage to sell this magical elixer. It would take a set of stones, to be the one to test this on a customers board and hope for no long term side effects!

I know a few customers who have purchased the system from EVS and they hated it. Machine was poorly designed and the support was quite bad. Stay away from this............

I have seen one that is advertised with a 30 day money back gaurantee and a year warranty. It sounds the same as the Pulsar but I do not see any reference to Pulsar on the website. I saw it at. http://www.solderreclamation.com

Buy the EVS. There are demo units and rebuilt units available. Nitrogen is a continued added cost (some benifits). Additive (enough said).

I had something similar a while back it looked like fibreglass insulation in my case (was using no clean flux not water based), i took some and melted it with a soldering iron and it reacted like flux. and i tried disolving it with acetone.

Sorry about that. I'd like to post a picture but doubt it's possible. Baseball cap = The pad solder reflows but the BGA ball and the pad don't reflow together in a continuous elliptical shape. Carol

So, your solder ball didn't collapse. What is the ball material? More and more BGA are shipped leadfree. For image posting, look here: http://www.free-webhosts.com/free-image-hosting.php

Has anyone done a Wave Solder flux evaluation lately for no-clean/VOC-Free/lead-free? If so, please do share some feedback. Who're the best candidates out there, etc?

Ask Soltec. Ask the guy you bought the machine from for them. Find out who owned before you - ask them for it. Ask Wave Master Larry.
