Solder mask thickness requirement is defined by the procurement specification. There is no written solder mask thickness as a standard. Some of say evaluate it with 500 VDC. It depends on withstanding voltage. BR, davef

We using nitrogen only for Selective Solder machine, you don't need it for reflow oven, to improve solderability we use Vapor Fase oven.

We have been evaluating different solder irons and have narrowed it down to Weller and JBC. Does any one have JBC units and comments about them? This was the first time I have ever heard of JBC solder equipment

Please refer the attached jpegs, The problem is noticed after reflow soldering followed by conventional through hole soldering. Flux used one is MIL Std. Brush cleaning in IPA is followed after each soldering step. regards, R.Saravanan

Hi We had the same problem but it turns out the problem is with the supplier we use a water base flux too, supplier change the solder mask and it work. cheers!
