My company is hooking up a delta max wave solder machine but we can seem to get the estop error to go away any one have a any experience with this issue.

Thanks for the advice. The sockets I am finding all require some pressure to be exerted which has got me worried if my idea will work. I also came across some hollow carriers for the IC but not sure if it will work without solder.

Have you tried with one part shield? If you did, how many units? Also, was the reason for changing to two-part shield quality of soldering or something else? Thanks for the help

Try something drastic just for testing - turn off cleaning! Then check again the result. Trust me, you can be surprised.

That error message is keyed by a hardware (soldered) link on the backplane board of the Y1 (motor controls), through direct cable to PCIB40#3... check connections both ehds; possibility of multiple PCIB failures?

Hello, I am not sure what you mean exactly. Lead length is something standard given from components supplier. Pretty much all new AOI machines can measure the length and height of most of the leads on a IC.

Hi Stephen, it seems they call it differently . What they need is an insruction data they can import to the machine, how the IC is soldered, the relative orientation for some parts,ect.

If you can scrap a board and part then drill a small hole through the other side and attach a thermocouple to a ball in the middle when you run a profile.
