Is there a way or process to use the screen printer to put solder paste in the thru holes ? The thing is that we are trying to put a thru hole in the same reflow oven with the other SMD components can some one explain how this work? thanks

i think you need to use a PCB central support. do you know that part ? it specializes in preventing PCB board from bowing during wave soldering.

Sid, Try baking the boards before running, to insure no moisture. Baking out the moisture will help prevent warping. Should you need further assistance, we supply fixtures to force the board to stay flat to reduce to thermo shock during wave solde

Just skip the squirt bottle and your problem is solved. Cored solder has enough activity for proper wetting. When occasionally extra activity is needed use a fluxpen.

Craig, If it is LF Hasl it sounds like it applied too thin exposing the intermetallic layer wich is not solderable. We call out a minimum thickness of 80 microinches and have good results. We have had shops in the past that did not control the Hasl

Boards with the LF hasl finish applied too thin will genrally pass the IPC test. That is some pretty agressive flux they call out. The boards usually wave solder just fine as well. Reflow is where the you see the problem.
