Set-down height to low, iow, parts getting squashed too deeply into the paste. No mask between pads on fine pitch. Pads too wide for the pitch.

If your Test tech able to analyze and tell you which exact ball/location is the problem, you may send it for cross section analysis and see how the solder connection behaves. also pls check your ESD implementation.

Bill, Are you starting your own solder paste company ? Just curious. If you are mixing paste for production at your factory, the hand mixing method works fine. We have mixed millions of grams this way.

The issue is not the gold, but the amount of gold. Gold content over 3 percent raises concerns about reliability of the solder connection.

Hi all, I wonder if some of you have experience in use of dross eliminator as a Kester 5744 or maybe with MS2 Molten Solder Sulfactant. I would like to know if they give good results in process and pot cleaning. Regards, Betsy
