Golden Finger contamination with Solder after reflow

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 15 07:21:58 EST 2017 | stephendo

You don't clean contaminated gold fingers so much as you replace them. I once had the "cleaning" solution. It totally dissolved the gold fingers so that they could be replaced.

Advices on selecting spray fluxer: reciprocating vs. fixed head

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 20 12:42:19 EST 2017 | emeto

Are you talking about wave soldering process? Are you talking about foam fluxer against spray fluxer? I think that almost all new machines are using spray fluxer that moves back and forth. If that is not the question, please specify.

Solder Paste for Thermal Cycling application (-40 to 150 Degree Celcius)

The only problem with non silver tin bismuth is its very prone to shock damage and components fall off, literally. Would only recommend it with Silver additions and around 1%.

Can anybody suggest how to reduce 0402 LED tilting as I am using Convectional Reflow oven with 10 Heating zones and controlling the solder paste with 4.2 mills paste height

Hi , Can anybody knows about PTS system Singapore who manufacturer of solder paste height inspection machine ZC 1000, we need control card of the machine, not able to get contact information of manufacturer Please share if you have some info

PCB defects

When the board is populated on the second side, and after reflow, components are shifted, skewed with solder flowed on the leads of the components and not on the PCB land.

Can anybody suggest how can I achieve good solderability in convectional reflow oven If I reduced Convection Air Speed 80%. The

Just Curious why would you need to reduce the air speed by 80%

led tilt reduction by reducing convection air speed in reflow oven

I agree with Evtimov. What he didn't point out is that the surface tension of the solder would vastly overwhelm any force from air flow.

Tracking labor at selective solder

For me it looks like a sales issue. Having more operators would probably not help them meet their metric. If you cannot meet or defeat a metric, switch metrics. (said tongue in cheek)
