Well my friend, flux chemistries have changed. I do not want to drive you over edge but I use a straight ramp for lead as well!!!! Let the product dictate process!! I only soak when the delta T is not manageable with straight ramp. Please do not

Solder Ball After Reflow Process

Chunks is a pretty with-it dude. The only additional thought I have is the possibility of poor misprint cleaning. If they're wiping instead of spray or US washing they may be contaminating the boards prior to reprinting. And yes, I know Chunks is

Selective Solder Flux Issue

Any materials that come in contact with the flux should be made from stainless steel, titanium, or plastics. These materials will not corrode from OA fluxes. Overspray is an issue. I think Pillerhouse has that jet fluxer, so I dont think there is mu

I would imagine your system is either stainless and/or some form of plastic. The water can rust but I doubt your machine has any metal that would be affected by it. You may want to double check your spray cell as well. We have been running water s

Check for coplaner leads if this just exists at reflow process, i.e. look at part before oven, turn on 3D at placement machine. If you see after wave solder, the wave could cause coplanarity issues on top as well if you are going slow enough to refl
